Defensive Player Points

I propose we add blocked kicks to defensive points for players. Is that an option? Bobby Wagnor's block was very impressive last night and I would have loved the extra points!

How many points? Does the kicker get negative points for it being blocked? I vote Negatory

I have several suggestions for the defensive/kicking side..

Blocked kicks (2-3 points)
Forced Fumble (2 points)
Missed kick (2-4 points, depending on distance)*
We might even want to consider passes defended.

Someone should be punished for that Sunday night game)

We should probably add a scoring rule for a turnover on extra points (and 2-point attempts) returned to the other endzone.
Call it the Eric Berry Rule.

On this play Berry got 4 points for the interception but nothing for taking it to the endzone.

I think this would fall under the "Defensive Conversion Returns" scoring rule.

It has been discussed before, but should we reduce the amount for a sack from 4 to 2? A sack also counts as a tackle. So a player really gets 6 points per sack.

We could balance the scoring by adding one or some of these

• Blocked Field Goals
• Blocked Punts
• Blocked Extra Points
• Interception Return Yards
• Opponent Fumble Recovery Yards
• Punt Return Yards
• Kickoff Return Yards
