I'm OK with that.
Maybe our new tradition is that the MTFFL Champ gets to choose their own trophy.
If David wants a giant dildo for a trophy then we should allow it.

The trophy shop near me has closed. They've been engraving these name plates for me for over 10 years.
Since the entire personalized engraving industry is collapsing, our trophies will now be 100% sticky notes:

I love my championship mug. But I like that idea of the champ picking the trophy. I think that is interesting.

The etching might be more visible when it has dark liquids in it.
Try some "golden" or "amber" colored liquids if you can find any.
