i was wondering if we could drop someone who was in our starting lineup w/o having to wait until tuesday???

No. You can't drop a player in your starting lineup while games are in progress. You can drop him in 3 hours.

Freezing the staring lineups is a foolproof way for all the owners to check the starting lineups for their opponents and other teams.

That's probably not a good enough explanation, but then again it's not something I would want to start in Week 13.
